Minutes of The Extraordinary Meeting

MINUTES OF THE EXTRAORDINARY MEETING OF SCAMPTON PARISH COUNCIL HELD ON FRIDAY 20th MARCH 2020 AT BSA HALL AISTHORPE AT 6.00PM

 

Present:  Councillors R Patterson (Chairman), Ms C Sneath (Vice Chairman) and Mrs B Young (Clerk). absent

 

Apologies Were received from Cllrs K Taylor, A Stead and S Plews and accepted. Due to the exceptional circumstances the decisions were emailed to the absentees for their electronic vote and the Minutes reflect this.

 

Register of Members Interests Members of the Council were reminded that at any time during the meeting they could declare an interest.

 

Minutes of the Meeting of the 5th March 2020, were proposed by Cllr Patterson, seconded by Cllr Sneath, agreed unanimously and signed by the Chairman as being a true record.

 

Speed Awareness Training It was agreed that Cllr Sneath should complete the necessary forms for the registration of Scampton PC with the training people.

 

VE Day 75th Anniversary – It is with regret that it was agreed unanimously that the VE Day celebrations be postponed.

 

Annual Parish Meeting It was agreed unanimously that the APC meeting be postponed until the situation became clearer. We would be guided by WLDC.

 

Facebook Page.  Cllr Taylor had offered to set up a Parish Council Facebook page so that we could keep the parishioners up to date and offer help where needed due to the coronavirus. This was agreed unanimously

 

District Councillor’s report – Cllr Patterson reported WLDC had suspended all meetings, apart from urgent Planning matters. Written submissions only would be accepted. See WLDC website for further information. There is a consultation being undertaken regarding dog fouling in the whole of the District.

 

Correspondence

  1. All elections, including for the  Police Crime Commissioner, have been suspended for a year.

 

Finance

It was noted that the following payments had been made:

It was proposed by Cllr. Sneath that The Clerk be authorised to pay any bills with no upper limit. This was seconded by Cllr Patterson and agreed unanimously.

 

 

 

Planning -

There were no planning matters.

 

Due to the Coronavirus there is no date set for the next meeting. Once it is know the date will be posted on the website and notices displayed in the PC notice board.

 

Being no further business the meeting closed at 18.40pm
